Reliving Bloggers Block with Megan

HEY BLOG FOLLOWERS! Me and Megan are juniors now, and we're sad that we aren't in Mr. John's class and we missed blogging! So we decided to re-live our blogging days :) All was going well until Megan decided to be disruptive and talk to loudly. This caused the Staggmeister to make us separate and now Megan is at the back wall by herself. Silly Megan! I miss Computer Architecture so much. I want to re live those days so badly! Gosh that was so fun! I kind of feel like a person going through a mid life crisis. But I guess its more of a mid-highschool crisis. Sad. Okay! Well Megan's updating her blog so I'm going to go read it!

JUNIOR YEAR WITH MEGAN! Lets go.

Dear anybody who is reading this (like Megan),
ITS JUNYAH YEAR! I'm so excited, I love my classes, and everything is going right! Everybody's so nice. Oh yah, I'm running cross country too. ME a runner...its weird. I love it! BUT NOT MEGAN! She complains all the time. And she says she has to go use the restroom during warm up and SHE DOESN'T EVEN GO! She just sits around and waits for me. Its crazy. And she told me to call the coach when I was apparently not supposed to. Silly Megan! And she still has not given MS. Robin her paper about the video chat! Goodness me! I miss Mr. Johns class anyway :( That's why I'm still blogging away!!

MEGAN=MEAN. And my dream classroom...

MR. JOHN and or ROBIN! MEGAN IS MEAN. SHE ATTEMPTED TO TITLE MY POST WITH A VERY EVIL COMMENT WHICH SHALL NOT BE REPEATED!
And we're moving soo soon into the new classroom! So this is what I would do if we had a million dollars...
1. Get an electronics charger mat thing
2. Get an iPad for class use
3. Have couches and comfy chairs for relaxation while fixing things
4. Get a Mac to compare to the HPs
5. Paint the room colorfully to cheer us up!
6. Have help desk training in there
7. Surround sound speakers
That's what would like!

BLOGGER.COM DOWN AND MEGAN AND SABRINA

Today, I almost died. Blogger.com was DOWN. I could not blog in Mr. John's class, which you know crushed me. But it's back now!
So I'm creating a virus for my final project in computer arch (I want to launch it on Megan's computer or the princess's), but it's going to be awesome. Mr. John is going to help me with it!
Also, Megan and Sabrina are going to the beach. Did you know that you can add people as your parents on Facebook even if they really aren't your parents at all? That's what Megan and Sabrina did, because they say I'm like a mother. I take that as a HUGE complement. It means I'm organized, sophisticated, and not silly like Megstah!
And I drew them a pretty picture!

OPERA MALFUNCTION AND STOP RIGHT THERE

I was on Facebook the other night and I tried to tag my friend Gracie in a status. I wondered why I couldn't tag her, and she suggested changing my web browser. I doubted that Opera would EVER fail me...but then I went to Mozilla and it worked. So Opera needs to fix that. And also, Megan found this picture on the wire making website. We're learning how to make wires in class (its very handy according to Mr. John)and she found this picture. We laughed. Anyway...

NEW iPOD AND BLONDIES!

Mr. John told us the other day that there's a new iPhone coming out, it's going to be the 4G. It will move quicker and be enhanced. I want to buy my mom an iTouch for her birthday, but I don't know if I have the money for that. Mr. John helped me apply to win one though! Also, I'd like to clean my computer screen soon. I am so excited that we are getting new computers!!!!That's so amazing. I wish we could get them now. Also in technology, apparently the man that created formspring is getting arrested. And Megan made Blondies for LC's birthday, which is today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY LC!

MEGAN WANTS A TAT

Today Mr. John taught us about a very interesting thing. It's called the TAT cable. Have you ever wondered how people communicated around the world before internet? Cross country is understandable, but what about across the sea? Well there's this wire called the TAT wire that is lying at the bottom of the ocean that connected people during the telegram. There was even a special TAT wire connecting Winston Churchill and the White House in case of emergency during WWII! Cool huh?

CHALLENGE DAY

Today is CHALLENGE DAY! Me and my snake in the grass are having a huge show down. It's intense. And I have to bake him brownies if they win. But they won't. And when SJA wins (because we will) he has to watch 16 Candles with me and show me pictures from the days when he was a baby snake!! Hahah!
But I am not going to Challenge Day because I am going to Latin Convention! STAY CLASSY LADIES!

Today in Mr. John's class I wrote my name in binary code! It was really cool. And I made a website! I named it for Billy. He likes to tease me and call me peppy happy blondie (it's a joke from middle school...). So I named it for him. Here's the link!

AMERICAN IDOL and HULIA

Last Thursday was the American Idol results. I, unfortunately, missed them because I was working on homework. I was in DESPERATE NEED of finding out who got off FOR THE SAKE OF MY LIFE. So I asked Mr. John to unblock the website, seeing as there is no explicit content or anything...
I was SOOOO mad. TYLER GRADY. GOT. VOTED. OFF. ??? Explain...
Anyway, I am going to relate this to computer architecture now.
Losing Tyler Grady is like losing your first computer: it's vintage (like his awesome 70's fashion), but losing it would be like losing an important part of your network (because he was so gosh darn amazing).
Also, I think that it's a good idea to keep the website unblocked. It's not harmful, and although the teachers may see it as "another one of those websites that we're gonna go on when we're bored", which maybe it would be, it would also be a current events website. I know I PERSONALLY would become very active in class discussions, moreso than I am, if this website was unblocked. So that's my case.

Today I added more widgets to my opera. I love opera and it works because I like music!! Yeah...
Julia is playing a dog game. I don't get any personal interest out of it though. It's rather strange.
And then there's Megan...
Ohhhh lawdy...
Well today she started singing Pants on the Ground because she had "Blogger's Block". It's this silly saying she came up with that she thinks is cool and intelligent sounding. I don't really know, I mean, it's not really a technical term...but I'm gonna let her bask in her glory while she can.
And she thinks I'm jealous of it!!!
And I also like iGoogle, but I like my original google better. And it bothers me that Google has the olympics theme right now. it's not traditional. Tradition's a must.
And Megan's snake is back in the grass again...

OPERA AND THE BITE.

Today Mr. John introduced me to Opera, my new true love. It's a search engine that rocks!! You can do so much, but it does not leave a "digital age footprint" on your computer! And Megan got bit by a snake.

Today Mr. John educated us about the iPad. We discovered that he is getting an iPad just so we can test it out! We want to see if you can read books on it. Also, we are learning about hard drive enclosures. Mr. John wants us to make money when we are in college. Also, Megan touched the gold stuff on the hard drive, diminishing it's chances of ever being a useful hard drive again :( Silly Megan...

SNOW IN LA!?!?! AND SNAKES

Today, February 11, 2010, it might snow! For the second time in three months! After choir, we were told that we were going to be picked up by the SJA office people. We walked to the CHS office, the meeting place, and as we got there, the vans were driving away! We told the secretary, who called SJA and told them they had left some students. As we waited, I heard the secretary's conversation with a parent of a concerned student. She said they did not know whether or not they would have school but that they would follow EBR. Well...she told us in confidentiality that she could see the sleet from her window and that she thinks we won't! CRAZY! And Megan has a snake in the grass...

GOOGLE VS. FACEBOOK...AND MEGAN

Today I read an article online that Gmail is going to attempt to gain its status back above Facebook, one of it's top rivals. It will now include video and photo swap and a "status" update. However, Google is still number 1 and Facebook is number 4. I guess Google's feeling a little rivalry. That's exciting because we use Gmail so now we'll be able to use all this at school!!!
Oh, and MEGAN's not here today...

Wikipedia: Opinions or Facts? Oh, and Spray Tans

Today, Mr. John told us that Sr. Chris is going to challenge our ideas that Wikipedia should be used in schools. I think that Wikipedia, although it is simply a blog, DOES contain factual information. For example, I had to research information on the Superbowl. Wikipedia had the information that I needed, and it WAS correct.

The other part of this blog concerns Winter Formal, being that it is tomorrow. The majority of us are just getting one dress. But not Megan. She got 3! And she also got a spray tan. Some have said that she looks a little blotchy, and she has a little orange spot on her hand, but she says it will come off. Oh silly Megan.

Post Secret...No Longer a Secret!

Today Mr. John told us about Post Secret, a blog that's about postcards. It was very interesting, and very witty. I was surprised I had never heard of it before, but I liked it very much. I don't know how to go to the next page though, and I think they need to make their website easier to manage. Megan also showed me a song called Rat-a-tat-tat. She sang it in 5th grade. Andrea just asked Julia if she was going to color her eyebrows. Also, we had to walk in the rain today, and Julia has wet socks just like me. She likes choir. She sits two seats away from me and sings Soprano 1. It's so cool. And she's going to get a rain jacket today so she doesn't get wet tomorrow. I should do that...

MEGAN...

Mr. John is absent today. We are all so sad. We miss him so much. But not Megan. She is jumping for joy and doing geometry. This is all true. Do not believe Megan's blog that says not to believe this. She's also drinking water in the library. And getting tan eyebrows.

Raining at Catholic High: An Issue

Today, February 4th, the SJA girls walked to Catholic for choir...IN THE POURING RAIN. Luckily, Ainsley picked Abby and me up in her cool punch buggy and we road over. But we had to walk back. It was awful because, although we had umbrellas, the rain was falling sideways. My skirt was drenched. So yes, I would like to say that I think we need a carpool transportation system.

Science Fair!!

Science Fair was soooo fun! I did a project on the Fuel Efficiency of a Vehicle vs. Its Safety in a Crash. It was about cars. I placed second...in my group of two people...but still. And Mrs. Messina said that I can maybe go to regionals! Science Fair was so fun and I would love to do it again next year!! Maybe I will!

My Very First Blog: So Cool!

Wow. I did great today. I passed all my tests. But not Megan. She failed the first quiz! Silly Megan. Now she has to go take all of them over again. But she's studying GEOMETRY. Yeah, Geometry in Computer Architecture. Silly silly Megan. :)
